O_O So wild.

the magical date is March 1!

I'll post up the flight info later, in case any of you would like to send me off at LAX. The departure time is 10:55 pm, so I would ask those coming to the airport to come around 9-9:30pm. More info on that to come...

But yes, I cannot believe that in less than a week I will be on a plane heading to the continent of Africa, which will be my home for the next three months! Notice, I said 3 months instead of 6 months, which was the original plan.

I suppose God had other plans. Yep. I will be returning in June. I will also be returning to school, but not optometry school. Like I said, God has other plans.

But first things are first, ZIMBABWE!

Currently, I am running around like a crazy person taking care of all the things I need to do

-Yellow Fever + Typhoid fever vaccinations at once = not a good bowling night

-Getting Malaria Pills

-Shopping for the Jourdens

-Shopping for my things, etc.

My apologies for all the madness and lateness of the support letters/ t shirt delivery and all the other things I am slow at.

Buying my ticket this week!!

AH! The time has come where I have begun to seriously look into purchasing my plane ticket. FINALLY! I would have bought it today but I heard that there is a specific time during the week when plane tickets are the cheapest, so I shall wait just a few more days.

Man, I was kinda nervous comparing all the different departure/return dates. It is so soon! Such a long time coming this one.

Anyhoo. I am looking to leaving on MARCH 1st, 2010! It's a Monday. As soon as I buy the actual ticket I will give out a hoot n' a holler!

Hello Supporters!

Hi! If you are reading this it probably means that you have received a support letter from me. Wonderful! I hope you enjoyed the little note I wrote you =)

What is this?

So I was inspired by my fellow student missionaries to start a blog for when I am overseas. This will be my main way of updating you guys (my supporters) on what is going on! My plan is rather than writing you long messages and clogging up your inbox I'm simply going to update this blog and you can check it randomly. Or if you would like, I will email/facebook message simple reminders that the blog has been updated to those who request it on the response card. Hopefully I will be able to make it fun by uploading pictures/video tidbits of my adventures in Zimbabwe. But we'll see how that goes...

My Status

Currently, I am still working things out with optometry schools trying to find out when a potential interview date might be. My departure date is really depending on knowing this (Prayer Request) My best estimate of when I could leave would be end of February-mid March. As soon as I know exact dates, however, I will update! In the meantime, I am sending out more support letters as well as fundraising. I'm aiming to set up a PAYPAL link to this website so that giving me financial support might be more convenient for some. That should be up and running within a week.
